March 24, 2010

As announced some days ago, today Citrix released XenApp 6, the latest version of its application delivery solution that was purpose-built for Windows Server 2008 R2, after the previous XenApp version, as you can read in this my previous post, has resulted not compatible with this OS mainly because of its new RDP protocol. Today Citrix also released the Feature Pack 3 for XenApp 5 (for 2003/2008 32 and 64 bit) and also the ICA client (Online plugin) was updated, reaching today the 12.0 release.
You can download the new release here using a myCitrix account; as you can see there isn’t only the new ISO of 4.52 GB (it includes also Single-Sign-On, alias Password Manager, 4.8), but also an interesting tool like License Server Monitoring for understanding your licenses usage, Profile Management 3, VM hosted apps and Installation Manager for Windows Server 2008 R2.
